Mestalla will pay tribute to the victims, those affected and heroes of the emergency services of the terrible fire in Valencia

Valencia CF will pay tribute to the victims, those affected and the heroes of the emergency services who took part in the rescue work of the terrible fire on Avenida Maestro Rodrigo, in the Campanar neighbourhood, during the preview of the home game against Real Madrid.

The players will wear black armbands and, before kick-off, a minute's silence will be observed as a sign of mourning in memory of the ten people who passed away.

In the run-up to the match, Mestalla will pay tribute on the pitch to professionals from the different forces that have fought against the fire. In order to give visibility and a well-deserved recognition to their work, Valencia CF has formally invited the Local Police, National Police, Fire Brigade, EMU, Red Cross, 112 and Civil Protection.

As a sign of sensitivity to the terrible fire, the Club will limit the festive events leading up to the match and, with the blessing and consent of the brass band, the performance scheduled for this Saturday will be postponed for future dates.
